Get to Know Chase:
Chase Moore is a lifelong resident of Blount County, a devoted husband and father of three, and a passionate public servant with a track record of leadership, community advocacy, and results-driven action.

A 2004 graduate of Oneonta City School, Chase attended Northeast Community College and the University of Montevallo before earning his bachelor’s degree from Jacksonville State University in 2010. He married his wife, Becca, in 2013 — the same year he became Director of the Blount County-Oneonta Agri-Business Center, where he has supported local economic development and agriculture-focused events that bring the community together.

Chase’s public service journey spans more than a decade. He was elected to the Highland Lake Town Council in 2016 and later served as Mayor of Highland Lake before being appointed in November 2024 to fill a vacancy on the Blount County Commission, District 3.

Since stepping into that role, Chase has worked relentlessly to put people first. He has saved taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars by keeping road and bridge projects under budget and prioritizing smart, efficient infrastructure improvements. A strong advocate for veterans and first responders, Chase has assisted local volunteer fire departments in securing access to critical emergency service infrastructure — ensuring those who protect us have the tools and access they need.

Chase believes public service should be simple: If it doesn’t benefit the people, it shouldn’t happen. He is known for being accessible, responsive, and honest, and has earned a reputation as someone who genuinely listens and follows through.

He has served as President of the Community Arts Council of Blount County, President of the JSU Alumni Chapter, and as District 2 Director for the State of Alabama Fair Association from 2014–2015. He has also served on the Blount County-Oneonta Chamber of Commerce, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Cawaco RC&D, where he sits on the Financial, Personnel, and Grant Committees to support rural development efforts.
At the state level, Chase is a member of the Legislative Committee for the Association of County Commissions of Alabama (ACCA), helping shape policy that strengthens county government across Alabama.

Nationally, he represents Blount County through the National Association of Counties (NACo), where he serves on three prominent committees: the Arts and Culture Commission, the Veterans and Military Services Committee, and the Environment, Energy, and Land Use Steering Committee.

Chase and Becca are raising their three sons — Oliver, Arthur, and Bennett — in the same community that raised him. Whether it’s solving local issues, advocating for smarter spending, or helping a neighbor in need, Chase Moore brings experience, heart, and hometown commitment to every decision he makes.
